Apple TV: Play/Pause turns auto-cycle on or off. Swipe up or down changes the color palette.
iPad and iPhone: swipe up or down to change the color palette.
Mac keys: C next palette, A auto-cycle on/off, S SpookyWeen on/off, H show the saver name, F full screen.
Common questions
Where are the Halloween savers?
Haunted Moon, Witching Plasma, Headless Horseman, Haunted Starry Night and Sleepy Hollow show while SpookyWeen is on. It turns on by itself every October and off on November 1. Switch it on or off any time in Options, or in Options → Settings.
How do I play Balloon Pilot?
On Mac or Apple TV, click or press Select on any saver and choose Play. On iPhone or iPad, tap any saver and choose Balloon Pilot, the first item in Options (it is in Options on every device). Four courses: Harvest Hop, Ridge Run, Moonlit and Night Glow, on Easy, Medium or Hard. Hold to fire the burner and climb, descend to drop, and vent to drop fast. Each course keeps your best score.
- iPad and iPhone: hold the right half for the burner, the left half to descend; double-tap the left half and hold to vent.
- Apple TV: click the top or centre of the remote for the burner, the bottom edge to descend; double-click the bottom and hold to vent.
- Mac: ↑, W, Return, Space or left click for the burner; ↓ or S to descend; right click, or double-tap ↓ and hold, to vent.
- Game controller: Ⓐ for the burner, hold Ⓑ to descend, Ⓑ Ⓑ and hold to vent.
How do I stop the savers changing, or change how often they do?
Open Options, choose Settings…, and turn off Auto-cycle themes or set Cycle every to a longer time.
Can I turn the music off?
Yes: Options → Settings → Music. Your choice is remembered.
Where are my Balloon Pilot best scores?
Your best scores appear on the Balloon Pilot course selection screen. Options → Reset Best Score clears them.
How do I turn off analytics?
In SeasonGlow, open Settings → Privacy → Share usage analytics and turn it off. On iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, you can also use the system Settings app → SeasonGlow → Share Usage Analytics. This stops new reports and deletes events not yet sent; it does not delete reports already received. See the privacy policy for details and deletion requests.
Can SeasonGlow be my Apple TV or Mac screen saver?
Apple doesn't let apps replace the system screen saver. Open SeasonGlow and leave it running: it keeps your display awake while it's on screen.
The animation stutters on my older device
SeasonGlow lowers the detail by itself when a device can't keep up. Sleepy Hollow is the most demanding scene; if it stutters, the other seven savers will still run smoothly.
