SeasonGlow: Autumn Savers turns an Apple TV, Mac, iPad or iPhone into a seasonal display. It is eight hand-built animated scenes for autumn and Halloween, with music, that run full screen and keep the display awake. Leave it running, or tap a balloon and fly the festival yourself in Balloon Pilot.
This post covers the Apple versions, then gives an early look at what is coming next: Windows and Linux, the Commodore 64 and the Amiga.
The eight scenes
- Harvest Plasma: warm, shifting autumn color with big leaves drifting over it.
- Balloon Festival: hot-air balloons over autumn hills at golden hour.
- Maple Wind: hundreds of leaves tumbling on the wind and piling up under a harvest moon.
- Haunted Moon: a giant moon, bats, a haunted house, rolling fog and lightning.
- Witching Plasma: swirling ectoplasm, drifting ghosts and flickering jack-o'-lanterns.
- Headless Horseman: the rider gallops past skeleton trees, his glowing head held high.
- Haunted Starry Night: a haunted mansion under a flowing, painted night sky.
- Sleepy Hollow: a 3D scene with a haunted mansion, ghosts, pumpkins and the horseman.
The five Halloween savers, which make up SpookyWeen, turn on by themselves every October. You can switch SpookyWeen on or off any time in Options.
On Apple devices
One app covers Apple TV, Mac, iPad and iPhone. Here is a small sample of the scenes on each kind of screen.

Balloon Pilot
Tap the Balloon Festival saver and fly a balloon yourself. Fire the burner to climb, vent to drop, ride the wind, collect treats and dodge obstacles on two courses, Harvest Hop and Ridge Run. Beat your best score on each.

On the Halloween savers you can tap or swipe to pop ghosts, smash jack-o'-lanterns and knock off the horseman's head.
Made for every screen
- Apple TV: point and click with the Siri Remote, or use a game controller.
- Mac: full screen, with keyboard shortcuts to switch savers, palettes and more.
- iPad and iPhone: touch to play, two-finger tap for Options.
- Game controllers work on every device.
You can auto-cycle through the savers and set how often they change, pick the color palette of each saver, and turn the music on or off. There is no account and no ads, and SeasonGlow works offline. Optional usage analytics is on by default and can be turned off in Settings; see the privacy policy and the support page for details.
Windows and Linux — late Fall 2026
The same eight savers are being rebuilt in Godot so they run on Windows and Linux: same themes, same palettes and the same little games, with the shaders ported over. The Windows version is a real screen saver, and there are helpers for Linux screen savers too. The Windows and Linux versions are planned for late Fall 2026.
These are work-in-progress screenshots from the Godot version. Some screens may change before release.

Commodore 64 — work in progress
Concepts only. The C64 version is still a work in progress, and these screens show where it is heading rather than a finished release.
SeasonGlow on a real Commodore 64 brings the scenes down to the VIC-II's 16 colors and chunky pixels, captured here from the VICE emulator.

Amiga — coming Winter 2026
Concepts only. These are early captures, and the Amiga versions are planned for Winter 2026.
The Amiga versions focus on Balloon Festival and Balloon Pilot, with one disk for the A500 (OCS) and one for the A1200 (AGA). Here is a scattering of both.
